What happens after I accept my quote?

We’ll arrange a site inspection
Once you've accepted the quote, our team will arrange a convenient time to get a closer look at your property, or assess it remotely if suitable.
This helps our solar experts to design placement of your panels to make sure they're capturing the most sun. -
We’ll apply for approval
SA Power Network need to pre-approve the grid connection — we'll apply for this approval. -
We'll request a meter update
We'll contact your electricity provider to request an update to your meter.
If you have a basic meter, they'll arrange a replacement smart meter. If you already have a smart meter, they'll reconfigure your existing meter ready for solar. -
We'll install your system
We'll install your system on a convenient day for you, usually 4-6 weeks after your site inspection.
After installation we'll issue your final invoice or start your payment plan.

What size solar system will I need?
Your recommended solar system size will depend on many factors. This includes your energy habits, roof space, and your budget. Our solar experts will help find a system size that works best for your needs. -
Is my solar package covered under warranty?
We offer a 5-year installation warranty on solar installation. Plus, the solar products we use come with a manufacturer's warranty.

What government rebates are available?
If you purchase solar, you’ll be eligible for Small-scale Technology Credits (STC). STCs are given by the Clean Energy Regulator as an incentive to reduce CO² emissions. We choose to pass them on to you to help decrease your upfront cost.
STCs are calculated according to the wattage rating of your solar panels. They can be used to decrease the upfront cost of your solar package – the more watts, the more you’ll save. When we prepare your quote, we'll calculate the STCs for you.
The number of STCs you’ll be given decreases each year on the 1st of January. This is because the STC rebate program is being phased out to end in 2030. So, the sooner you purchase solar, the more STCs and larger rebate you’ll receive. -
What happens in a blackout?
If you have a solar battery with blackout protection and stored energy available, it can provide backup power in a blackout. The number of appliances you can run depends on the type of battery you have installed. The length of time your appliances will be powered depends on the size of the battery.
If there's a blackout and you have a battery, you don't need to do anything – your battery will detect that the grid is down and provide power to essential loads, like your fridge or lights, within a few seconds. -
What payment plans are available?
We're proud to be partnered with Plenti to provide 12 and 24-month interest-free payment plans to help you switch to solar. There's no up-front deposit or payment required. Longer payment plans with interest payable are also available.
