Doing all we can to keep everyone in our community safe

We’re still working to help limit the transmission of COVID-19 in our community. Thanks for helping us stop the spread of COVID-19.

Except for roadside assistance, if you’re unwell or experiencing cold and flu symptoms, we’ll be asking you to postpone your face-to-face interaction with us.

All our services are only a phone call away on 8202 4600.

Thanks for helping us to safely keep you moving on the road, at home and on holidays.

We're here if you need us

For more than 117 years, our members have been at the heart of everything we do. We’ve celebrated great moments and weathered many storms. But we've always gotten through it, together.

As we continue to monitor the developing COVID-19 situation, we want to let you know what we're doing to look out for our members, our staff and the South Australian community.

Supporting vulnerable members

At RAA Insurance, we understand our members need extra help and support at different times in their lives.

We are committed to taking extra care with vulnerable members including those who are experiencing age related impairment, physical or mental health conditions, family violence, language and literacy barriers, remote location barriers or financial distress. We also support people of different cultural backgrounds and Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people experiencing vulnerability.

  • General FAQs

What precautions is RAA taking to protect the community from COVID-19?

Because there are around 1,100 RAA staff working in major shopping centres, schools, at the roadside and in people’s homes and cars, we have an important role to play in helping to limit the transmission of COVID-19 in our community.

We’re a vaccinated workforce and our network of service providers share our commitment to COVID-safe controls.

  • Travel FAQs

What are the current restrictions for travel to Australia or overseas?

You don't need to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test to meet Australia's travel requirements. Some countries, airlines and vessel operators may require a pre-departure test result at check-in before you can board your flight or ship. Make sure you check the entry requirements of the country you're travelling or transiting through, and your airline or vessel operator’s requirements.

You don't need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination to travel to and from Australia.

Visit the Smartraveller website for more information.

Some countries may require you to isolate or quarantine upon arrival. Check your destination country's local public health orders for isolation and quarantine requirements on arrival.

What do I need to consider in relation to Travel Insurance?

Travel insurance is as important as a valid passport. Make sure transit destinations are included in your insurance as well as any other add-ons you might need, like cruise-specific insurance. Some destinations also require travellers to hold travel insurance as a condition of entry.

Worldwide events may impact coverage for new travel insurance purchases or affect your travel plans for policies already purchased. Please review all travel alerts related to your area of travel and the important information contained in them.
